E-Visa
Who is eligible for the Russian unified e-visa?
Citizens of 64 countries — including all EU member states, the UK is not on the list, but China, India, Japan, Turkey, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and many others are. Eligibility is based on citizenship, not residence. You can check your passport on our Eligible Countries page in seconds.
How long does the e-visa take, and how long is it valid?
The official processing time is around 4 calendar days from submission, and the consular fee is about USD 52 (children under 6 are exempt). Since August 2025 the unified e-visa is valid for 120 days from the date of issue and allows a single stay of up to 30 days from the date of entry. We recommend applying 1–3 weeks before travel — early enough for a revision round if needed.
Do I need an invitation letter or hotel booking to apply?
No. The unified e-visa requires no invitation letter, no hotel confirmation and no proof of purpose — that is what makes it far simpler than the traditional consular visa. What it does require is an application filled in without errors, a compliant photo, and valid medical insurance covering Russia for your entire stay. Those three points are where most applications fail, and exactly what we check.
Why do e-visa applications get refused?
The most common reasons are avoidable: photos that don't meet the official requirements, passport data entered with typos or in the wrong format, answers that contradict travel documents, and passports with less than 6 months' validity. This is exactly what our review is designed to catch before you submit.
Do you submit the application for me?
The application must be submitted through the official government portal under your own account — that part is yours. We do everything around it: eligibility check, document checklist, photo compliance review, line-by-line form review before you press submit, and guidance on tracking the result.
Routes & Border
Why enter Russia via Kaliningrad?
Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave bordering Poland and Lithuania, which makes it the most practical land entry point for travelers coming from Europe. E-visa holders can cross at designated checkpoints. The route requires planning — checkpoint choice, timing and transport connections matter — which is exactly what our route planning service covers.
What will I be asked at the border?
Typically: the purpose of your trip, where you're staying, how long you plan to remain, your return plans, and whether you have insurance and sufficient funds. None of it is difficult if your documents are consistent and organized. Our Document & Travel Support includes a border-readiness checklist with the questions travelers are actually asked.
Can plans change on the day — and what happens then?
Border conditions do change: queues vary, transport runs late. Every route plan we deliver includes realistic timing and at least one backup option. With Full Travel Assistance, we're live in chat on your travel days and help you adjust in real time.
Orders & Payment
How is VAT (IVA) calculated for EU customers?
Prices are listed net. If your country of residence is an EU member state, VAT is added at checkout at your country's standard rate — for example 21% in Spain, 19% in Germany, 22% in Italy. The exact amount is shown as a separate line before you confirm the order. Non-EU customers pay no VAT.
How do I pay, and when?
Place your order through the site — you won't be charged at that moment. Within 1–12 hours we confirm your order and eligibility personally via your preferred channel (Telegram, WhatsApp or email) and send a secure payment link. Work begins as soon as payment is confirmed.
What is your refund policy?
If we haven't started work on your case, you get a full refund — no questions asked. If work is in progress, we refund the unused portion. If we determine you're not eligible for the e-visa before any work begins, we refund everything. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Our Service
Are you a visa agency or a government service?
Neither. We are an independent travel coordination and information service. We don't issue visas and can't guarantee entry — no honest service can, since final decisions always rest with border and immigration authorities. What we do is make sure everything within your control is done right.
How fast do you respond, and in what language?
We usually reply within 1–12 hours, every day of the week. All service is in English. The fastest channel is Telegram (@vatguchertravel); WhatsApp (+34 695 435 777) and email work too.
Still have questions?
Ask about your specific case — citizenship, dates, route. We reply personally within 1–12 hours, in English, every day.
